Intro to the International Atomic Agency Chairs

By: Ai-lin Cristina Zuccarello, I-Shou International School

The two chairs of this year’s IAEA committee seem to be as excited as we all are to have this brand new addition to the TAIMUN conference.

Ben Lee from Tainan First Boy School, having been to nine conferences already, is quite confident and excited about the atomic energy issues at hand. “Past experiences let me realize that MUN requires great endeavors if you want to have fun debating”, says Ben encouraging everybody to be well prepared to participate. He feels like delegates really need to research well on the topic, as they will be working on a legislative document. If you have any questions, don’t be afraid to ask him.

Richie Wang from American School Taichung is just enthusiastic about the conference and can’t wait to chair for the second time in the newly added committee of IAEA. Felling proud about his own school hosting the yearly conference, he feels like it will be very interesting to explore the creation of it and is “looking forward to seeing everyone in April!” He wishes for some fruitful debating, and of course some fun from it as well.

Setting aside the serious talk you should know that Richie is your tech guy. If you encounter any problems at the conference you now know who to look for (or if you want to see how a Rubik’s cube is solved in two minutes). If you want to make a friend and you love R&B music I trust Ben will be up for some lunchtime talk with you, and bringing in a few proses in the conversation will definitely ignite some sparks.

Both of them seems to be very friendly, and have made quite a bond after their collaboration in researching the issues. The air in the room will definitely be very welcoming with the two in it. They also seem to be working very well together, and have talked highly of each other. Both indispensable to make all the preparations for the fresh and fascinating IAEA committee, they are waiting for a tremendous conference to take place at this year’s TAIMUN XII.
