On March 8th 2014, a Malaysian Boeing 777-ER 200 disappeared in the Indian Ocean. The mysterious plane crash that took the lives of the more than 200 people is still unsolved; however, everyday there are now evidence that have been found. Nations from all over the world have contributed their resources. There are rumors stating that the plane crash might be a suicide plot.
The airplane’s destination was from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. It took off on March 8th 12:41 am, heading to Beijing with a total passenger of 239. THe nationalities of hte passengers included: 12 crew members, 154 from Taiwan or China, 38 from Malaysia, and 3 from the United States. Everything was normal while the Boeing 777 left the Malaysian Airport; however, after an hour the air traffic controller lost contact of the airplane when it was passing through Vietnam and Malaysia. The plane tower first supposed that the airplane just went off course. However as the time passed, things weren’t as they expected. The pilots were not responding, nor informing the air traffic of their status. The American investigators were invited by the Malaysian government to help their research. The Americans at first came up with a temporary conclusion that the airplane might have continued flying for 4 hours. The body of the plane was never found.
As the investigation progressed, there was two passengers that used stolen passport to get on board. One of them was called Pouri Nourmohammadi, 18, and another called Delavar Seyed Mohammad Reza, 29, both Iranians. People started to doubt that whether the two Iranians were involved with the plane crash. There were rumors saying that the plane was hijacked by terrorists. But none of them have strong evidence to reinforce the argument.
Not long after the crash, there are more than 25 countries involving in the search. The countries include: US, France, China, Australia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, India, Myanmar, and others in Asia. The search is still in progress.
